Serbia Forests
Just over a quarter of the surface is covered by forests Serbia. Some statistics say that 10% of the territory is protected by the state. The dominant biome is the temperate hardwood forest, which can be divided into different ecoregions.

On the border with Montenegro, there is mixed forest of the Dinaric Alps and deciduous oaks. The northern region is dominated by mixed forest of Pannonia, inhabited by wolves, mink and rabbits. Bulgaria on the border of the mixed forest stands of the Rhodope mountains, while in the rest of the country is the Balkan mixed forests.
